Liver Diseases - Hepatitis

Zeolite is used as adjuvant therapy for hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and cancer, as well as with mononucleosis. Studies have shown that the zeolite has a significant antiviral activity, including hepatitis C.

In private clinics Humanomed 2 in Villach, led by Prim. al. Wolfgang Thome, research was conducted on 120 patients divided into three groups. Antioxidant, immunomodulating and antiviral activities of activated zeolite were tested. These studies showed significant antiviral activity of zeolite, including hepatitis C. A positive response is obtained from at least 70 % of the patients. In the group of patients suffering from hepatitis C, the reduction of viral titer in the blood of patients was achieved, followed by regeneration of the liver tissue; the virus in the liver was not present anymore.

The use of zeolites with liver diseases, including chronic viral hepatitis, showed, after a certain ammount of therapy, the loss of fatigue and flatulence, as well as the reduction of transaminases in the blood. The AST , ALT , GOT, AP , LDH and bilirubin are normalized.

The results of clinical trials of the use of zeolite in the complex treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis, showed that patients with chronic hepatitis B who were taking zeolite, have a lower activity of ALT and AST in the blood serum. A group with toxic hepatitis had a lower content of total bilirubin and total lipids in the liver, compared to the group that was not receiving zeolite, which confirms the subject of clinical studies that the zeolite has a protective effect in the development of toxic hepatitis.
